I am honoured to serve as a Mentor for the Photographic Society of America (Light Painting category) and to contribute to the skill set of its member base that spans 60 countries around the globe.
Light painting is a technique that uses a light source to selectively illuminate subjects while camera's shutter remains open.
The images are light painted in real life and NOT in Photoshop. The colours are added by using home-made gels and the adjustment of the colour temperature. Albeit illusory, none of my light paintings was subjected to software manipulation.
The samples of my light painting can be found in my Galleries.
To better appreciate my art, as well as to understand what is involved in the process, please read a short description of Light Painting Technique.
More on light painting in my blog.
I shoot digital, 35 mm and medium film format.
